Hideout - The OG Two Story Bamboo House
Hideout Bali is the original two-storey A-frame bamboo house — the OG riverbank hideaway for two. Handcrafted from Karangasem bamboo, it pairs raw jungle intimacy with thoughtful service: a triangular-window bean-bag nook, rain shower with strong hot water, curated books and Balinese instruments, and fast Wi-Fi when you need it.
Hideout Bali in Every Detail

Our hideout is an intimate, two-storey A-frame bamboo micro-home designed for deep rest, privacy and a direct river connection. The upstairs bedroom frames the river through the signature triangular window — a bean-bag nook made for reading, meditation and quiet river views.
Built from locally sourced Karangasem bamboo, Hideout Bali blends handcrafted architecture with jungle-luxury details: a rain shower with strong hot water, curated books and Balinese instruments, and practical comforts like a safety box and very fast internet suitable for video calls and large uploads. Bedroom climate: air-conditioning available in the bedroom for warmer nights; main living areas rely on natural bamboo ventilation and a ceiling fan. (If no AC, please switch to the “No air-conditioning” line above.)
- Services & dining: Hideout Bistro delivers food & signature drinks to the hideout; curated in-hideout experiences and packages available on request.
- Connectivity: Very fast Wi-Fi — reliable for Zoom calls, uploads and creative work.
- Comfort & safety: A safety box is in the wardrobe. The bamboo house itself cannot be locked; you can close the garden gate from the inside. Our team is available throughout your stay.
- Amenities: King bed + mosquito net, hammock, Bluetooth speaker, yoga mats to borrow, and full kitchen.
- Wildlife & environment: This is a riverside jungle stay — occasional wildlife and insects are part of the experience. Not recommended for travelers seeking sealed, hotel-style stays.
The house looks directly toward Campuhan — the sacred river confluence where two rivers meet — a place of local ceremonies and holy water traditions. Guests may have the chance to observe Balinese bathing rituals and ceremonies from a respectful distance.
Hideout Bali is purposely remote and best suited to guests who value seclusion. Roads can be narrow — avoid late-night arrivals. This iconic hideaway often books months in advance; please check availability early.
Because the house embraces open-air design, it may not be suitable for very young children or guests with limited mobility. If unsure, contact us and we’ll help you choose the right hideout.
